Four Major Takeaways from IBS 2024: March 2024 BTH Recap

Phew! The International Builders’ Show was quite a whirlwind! From reconnecting with old colleagues to soaking up endless knowledge from the best of the best to celebrating successes throughout the industry, this year was packed full of positive energy and experiences we’ll never forget.

Thankfully, we were able to sit down with an OUTSTANDING panel of industry superstars. Senior Marketing Manager of Epcon Communities, Shannon Robinson, Founder of The SuperHero Mindset, Cory Charles, and Director of Marketing at The Providence Group, Dusty Talbert joined us for an exclusive IBS debrief.

Read below to dive into our biggest takeaways from the show!

It’s Time to Embrace AI

Regardless of whether we embrace it or turn our noses up at it, AI offers a future filled with opportunities and growth. Rather than fearing its impact on our industry, it’s important to embrace it as a powerful tool to add to our arsenal. Those who are willing to adapt to new technologies and take the time to learn about all they have to offer will not only remain relevant but will become invaluable in a world driven by innovation.

Authenticity is Key

In a world where connections drive success, you must present your true, authentic self in every aspect of what you do. You can’t expect to get to know others until you know yourself. Once you unlock your genuine self, you’ll unlock deeper relationships and reach new heights in your career. No matter if you’re speaking with a buyer or engaging with your colleagues, authenticity fosters trust and respect.

Culture: The Foundation for Growth

Whether it’s actively cultivated or not, culture exists within every organization. Like a garden left untended, if you don’t nurture your company’s culture, it will still grow, but perhaps not in the way you intended. To successfully foster a cohesive sentiment throughout your organization, you must emphasize the importance of relationships and establish common core beliefs that can be infused into every element of your organization.

They Want to Know Your Story!

As shocking as it may seem, people want to know who YOU are! They want to know your company’s history, your founder’s background, your exciting projects, and more. So tell them! Storytelling is the thread that weaves through every aspect of your company. It’s a way to connect with your buyers and draw them into your organization in a way that makes them feel seen and understood.

Thanks to our incredible panelists and an action-packed show, we are reenergized, reinvigorated, and reinspired to infuse these practices into every aspect of our daily practices.
