What’s ‘Appening Wednesdays | Canva
August 2, 2017What is it?
Canva is an easy to use, but detail oriented graphic design tool. There are both free and paid options and you can choose from the pre-defined sizes or enter your own dimensions with either option. When used correctly, Canva can give you a Photoshop worthy graphic but with a drag and drop feel that makes it user friendly – even for those who are less than tech savvy.
How much is it?
There are both free and paid options – the paid option is $12.95/monthly and it gives you the option to resize your graphics – so you design once, then resize for each social platform. You also get the ‘team’ feature. It allows you to add up to 10 team members who you’re then able to easily share designs with. Finally, with the paid version, you have more pictures, backgrounds, options, etc available to you within the app – it’s well worth every penny!
Who uses it?
In short, everyone! Whether you’re someone who just wants personalized graphics for their social media or you have your own website and need branded graphics with minimal effort, Canva is the app to use! Maybe you don’t even use social media but like to make personalized holiday/birthday cards, business cards, posters, etc…Canva can do all of that!
There are even templates available when you choose your size. An example of this would be – let’s say you want to create a business card design. When you click on that design size, you will be given MANY pre-designed layouts to choose from in the sidebar. You just click, change the information to your own, and done! Pretty snazzy, right?
What would we rate it?
We give Canva a 5/5 for being user friendly, affordable, and just down right impressive!
