Toolbox Tuesdays: Olde Mill Trace Website Launch
September 26, 2017Getting home buyers interested in a brand new community that doesn’t have a model built on the land yet can be challenging. That was the situation facing the developers of Olde Mill Trace, a new luxury home community planned for Raleigh, NC that will feature 80 large, wooded one-half to one acre homesites.
The developers hired Meredith Communications to build a website that would sell the community to prospective buyers. Since there’s nothing for prospects to see on the ground yet, we were tasked with painting a picture of what life would be like once homes are built. Heather Robinson of Heather Robinson Consulting developed the brand identity for the community and we worked with her to bring that brand to life online.
We created a mobile responsive website that features details about the community, its home builders, a sitemap, local area, directions and a contact page. The home page contains images of Raleigh, and the homes that will be built in Olde Mill Trace, so buyers can start imagining what their home will look like.
The Builders page contains information on the two builders for the community, Caruso Homes and Stanley Martin. Visitors to this page can learn about the builders’ experience, and the homes they plan to build in Olde Mill Trace. The page also contains links to the builders’ websites so home buyers can get more information about the new homes planned for the community.
The Local Area page describes the neighborhood surrounding Olde Mill Trace, so home buyers will know what’s available in the area regarding schools, dining, shopping, entertainment and recreation. The page also features a map of the Raleigh / Cary area with icons depicting notable locations, such as nearby hospitals, colleges, schools, shopping and entertainment venues.
The website includes a sitemap of Olde Mill Trace so prospective buyers can get a better idea of the community’s layout, as well as which sites will feature Caruso built homes, and which ones will feature Stanley Martin homes. The map also shows the location of two serenity parks, and indicates the area that has been set aside for future development.
We included bold call-to-action buttons directing visitors throughout the website, and giving them the ability to print a sales brochure, and submit an email address to learn more information. The Contact Us page contains a form so visitors can submit their contact information to schedule a tour. It also features contact information for the two home builders.
Now that the website has launched, we are excited to help drive traffic to the new site with paid search marketing and social media marketing.
