Our Top Three Digital Marketing Articles | December 19

    December 19, 2018
Meredith's Top 3 Digital Marketing Articles

In this week’s digital marketing round-up, I’m sharing a little bit about the 2019 International Builders’ Show (which I’m also presenting at!), a end of the year wrap-up from Lasso CRM filled with some great tips from industry leaders, and an announcement from WordPress about a number of vulnerabilities. Read more below!

2019 IBS Preview: How to Market to Millennials by Symone Garvett

At the 2019 International Builders’ Show one of the sessions will be “Cracking the Millennial Code: How to Successfully Design, Build & Market to This Powerful Generation of Buyers.” In this session the speakers plan to discuss product-design solutions, marketing methods, and the customer-relationship process. They’ll focus on who the millennial buyer really is and why they are purchasing a home.

My reflections: I’ll also be speaking at the IBS show in February and the session mentioned above sounds like a great session for all home-builders. Being able to target your sales and marketing efforts for specific clientele, specifically age groups, is a great strategy for effectiveness.

Top New Home Marketing Tips for 2019 by Thais Cuffy

To wrap up 2018, Lasso CRM put together a blog post including many industry leaders and their tips for new home communities. Topics include anything from artificial intelligence to the power of human emotion.

My reflections: I was honored to be asked to contribute to the round-up. My question? How closely are you reviewing your analytics and CRM reports? My suggestion? Make 2019 the year of data. It can provide such quality insight and can really tell a story.

7 WordPress Vulnerabilities Discovered – What You Need to Know by Roger Montti

Recently seven WordPress vulnerabilities were announced. These could allow hackers to gain access to your site. These affected versions 3, 4, and 5. They recommend updating your WordPress to fix these issues. However, there are backwards compatibility issues and this could affect how plugins function, unless they are also updated to function with the new WordPress.

My reflections: If you use WordPress, it’s critical to make sure to update your WordPress if not done automatically. If you have someone who handles your site, ask to make sure. If you’re the one who does this, make sure to research and update your site.
